Little Sahara National Recreation Area
From Bangerter head south on Redwood Road for 41 miles all the way past Utah Lake, and turn west onto HWY-6 for 11 miles towards Eureka. From Eureka drive another 17 miles south and turn west at Jericho Junction. From here you will drive 4.53 miles west where the road will continue west from the turnoff to Sand Mt and the Fee station. The road will turn into a dirt/gravel road around the corner where you can pull off and park and camp pretty much anywhere along this road, but if you plan on riding into the dunes a fee is required and a wooden fence surrounds the border of the dunes. To reach Rockwell Ranch drive 10 miles from where the paved road turns to gravel and turn south for about 1.61 miles to the ranch.

Sand Mountain location is usually packed with riders and can be extremely dangerous so ride with caution. The White Sand Dunes are just north of here and provide miles of dunes and bowls to enjoy with less of a crowd. There are 4 campgrounds available; White Sands has 100 campsites, drinking water, and toilets. Oasis has 115 campsites, paved pads, drinking water, and toilets. Jericho originally was just a picnic area but now allows camping with 40 picnic tables with shade, drinking water, and toilets. The visitor center is open year-round from 10am-pm and is closed on Tuesdays. (435) 433-5960
